With over 2 decades of experience in the art world, Shaune Arp works with blue chip collectors, visionary artists and pioneering organizations to establish meaningful and impactful collections. She partners with clients by providing a discerning insight, informed data and strategic guidance necessary for acquiring works today’s competitive art market. Fluent in French and English, Shaune specializes in working with people from diverse cultures, understanding their goals, and helping them acquire a world-class collection that is also an excellent financial investment.

Currently, as an independent advisor, Shaune focuses on Impressionist, Post-War, Modern and Contemporary art periods and also works closely with select artists, strategically guiding them towards the most fitting gallery representation, patrons and museums to exhibit their works.

Prior to establishing her private consultancy, Shaune held tenure at Gagosian Gallery in New York City for 7 years and in Geneva for 1 year, managing the placement of art works with international collectors, private foundations and major institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Albright Knox Museum, High Museum of Art, The Hill Foundation and Sir Elton John’s Foundation, among others. Consistently selling leading artists represented by Gagosian Gallery such as Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Willem de Kooning, Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha and Jeff Koons, Shaune earned the trust of some of the world’s most prominent collectors in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Previously, Shaune worked at Sotheby’s Auction house in London with the International Corporate Alliances team, orchestrating auction sales with symbiotic sponsorship in new markets.

Shaune received her Masters Degree in Business Art collecting from Warwick University in the UK with distinction on her Masters Thesis, An Investigation Into the Influences and Drivers of the Visual Art Collector in Mainland China Today. She has served as guest lecturer at Warwick University is regularly invited to speak on art market trends and influences at various institutions and companies. Before pursuing her Masters degree, Shaune worked for 7 years in marketing and strategic brand planning for Cartier and Publicis Consultants, Paris. 

A supporter of various charities for the past 20 years, Shaune has procured art works for charity auctions including the French American Aid for Children, Artadia, French Heritage Society and the Baryshnikov Arts Center. She was chosen for the jury for the Accessible Art Fair in New York in 2017 and in London in 2019. In 2023, Shaune was nominated by the Swiss Institute to head the Geneva Commitee and in 2024, she was elected to the conseil de Fondation for the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva.

Shaune lives in Geneva with her husband and daughter and is currently actively involved with the Swiss Institute, Centre d’Art Contemporain, Human Rights Watch and Unicef.
